11 most common mistakes in Google Ads

Advertising with Google Ads can get you many new customers and significantly increase your sales, but are you doing it right? There are many possible mistakes to be made, but luckily we have compiled a list with a few best practices to help you survive in the jungle of Search Engine Marketing. If you think you already know everything about Ads, at least this list can be a great way to refresh your memory.

1. Conversions aren’t configured

You would think this doesn’t happen, but it’s actually a very common mistake. Yet it’s really important to configure your conversions correctly in your Ads account, or you won’t be able to track any kind of ROI.

The time when marketing wasn’t measurable is over, so make sure you get this right.

2. Unclear call-to-actions

Make your call-to-action clear and specific to what you’re trying to achieve. Do you want leads to “buy now”, “read more”, oe “enjoy offer”? Tailoring your call-to-action to what you’d like your customer to do increases your conversion rate.

Don’t miss out because of poor CTAs!

3. Chaos in your Google Ads-account

Are your campaigns all over the place? Are your ads made randomly? We understand that these things happen. But structuring your Google Ads-account, makes it easy to follow up on campaigns and ads. Your reports will show in great detail which campaigns are going well and which might need to be adjusted – something that’s difficult to find out without any structure. Knowledge is power!
